MOSCOW, November 18. /TASS/. The latest Russian aircraft
radar patrol and targeting A-100 made in Saturday’s first flight, reported the
press service of the concern “VEGA” (part of the holding Russian electronics of
the state Corporation “rostec”), which develops the car.

“18 November 2017 the first flight of a multifunctional
aviation complex radar surveillance and targeting A-100”, – said in concern.
As explained in the “VEGA” during the first flight “was
proven aerodynamic characteristics of the aircraft, the performance of the
avionics and parts of the target instrument RTK [radio system]”.
The press service reminded that the A-100 was created on
the basis of military transport aircraft Il-76MD-90A, which is “mounted fairing
with a unique antenna system and the latest special equipment” that allow new
car quickly to build up the radar field in a given direction. “In addition, the
aircraft system can detect and track aircraft and other purposes, and also to
participate in the management of fighter and attack aircraft hovering over air,
land and sea targets”, – explained in the “VEGA”.
The aircraft a-100 is created in the framework of
development work “the Prime Minister-476”. He needs to replace the aircraft
a-50 and A-50U. Earlier it was reported that serial deliveries of new machines
to the troops will begin in 2020.
