The Northern Fleet IL-38 aircraft performed ASW training
in the Barents Sea. The crews worked out interaction with the Fleet’s
nuclear-powered submarines in searching submarines of the mock enemy and
guiding anti-submarine forces into the detection area.
Crews of ASW aircraft were improving their night flight
skills in complex meteorological conditions, and also were practising the
technique and methods to keep the assigned course over a difficult terrain.
